Highschool Interns

6 weeks; June 23rd - August 8th, 2025 (12 hours per week)

We are excited to offer vocational internships for high school students wanting to gain experience in any of the following areas: Agricultural Support for Low-Income Families, Agricultural Entrepreneurship, and Farm Maintenance. We are looking for two exceptional candidates for a part-time paid summer internship on our educational and production farm, Rugged Roots Farm. This experience can be used on future resumes and letters of recommendation for future jobs.

Highschool Interns support day to day operations of the farm and complete tasks such as harvesting and washing vegetables and weeding. Interns will also assist with operating Rugged Roots Farm Stand, gaining experience with customer service. This internship is educational, and incorporates lessons about ecological farming practices, plant propagation, irrigation, integrated pest management, composting, attracting pollinators, soil fertility management and gopher control!

Farm Camp Counselors

4 weeks plus paid training; June 23rd - 27th, July 7th - 11th, July 14th - 18th, August 4th - 8th (20 hours per week)

We are looking for two exceptional High School candidates for a part-time paid summer job as Farm Camp Counselors!

Activities include: Harvesting and preparing food, group songs, crafts and fun! Candidates must be reliable, responsible, enjoy being outside and enjoy sharing their love for nature with children.
